Jay Nelson Obus is a Director of Investment Portfolios, He is the President of Wynnefield Capital, Inc. since 1992, and was appointed to the position of Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager. Previously. Nelson Obus was a Managing Member at Wynnefield Capital Management, LLC since January 1997. He was a Research Director at Schafer Capital Management Inc. and Schafer Cullen Management, Inc. from February 1990 to September 1992. Prior to that, Mr. Obus worked at Lazard Freres & Co., for eight years as an Analyst, Account Executive, and Research Director in its institutional sales department. He worked as an Educator and Land Manager in the environmental field. Nelson Obus has been a Director of Layne Christensen Company since April 2, 2004, and Gilman and Ciocia, Inc. He has been a Director of Breeze-Eastern Corporation since January 30, 2012. Mr. Obus previously served as a Director of Gilman Ciocia, Inc. from September 2007 to February 17, 2012 and a Director of Sylvan, Inc. since June 2000. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Appalachian Mountain Club, on the Board of Advisors of the Stonybrook Millstone Watershed Association, on the Board of Advisors of the Neighborhood Open Space Coalition, and as the Board of Directors of the Princeton Historical Society. Mr. Obus holds an M.A. degree and an A.B.D. Degree from the Brandeis University in Politics and a B.A. degree from New York University. Nelson Obus has co-managed with Mr. Landes, Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P. since its inception in November 1992, Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P. I since its inception in July 1997 and the Wynnefield Small Cap Value Offshore Fund, Limited since its inception in January 1997. His principal responsibilities are as Chief Investment Officer.
